Minimal Deviation Adenocarcinoma of The Cervix: Still A Gynecologist Oncologist’s Nightmare

Minimal deviation adenocarcinoma (MDA) is a rare neoplasm characterized by difficult diagnosis, no standard treatment and poor prognosis. This accounts for 1 to 3% of all cervical adenocarcinoma, the mean age patients at time diagnosis 45 years old. It has characteristic endophytic growth pattern; conventional methods cancer screening frequently fail. Here we report case 44-year-old woman that underwent only medical therapy, pointing out problems met during path planning. She came our attention vaginal bleeding with pap smear showed cytological alterations. MRI polycystic solid component enhancement, performed conoid biopsy twice, because first one was not decisive. died twenty-one months after diagnosis.
